Through the research I have done with my “Public Opinion Poll” cache I have learned that a large portion of us are Rock & Rollers. With that in mind I am planting a series of puzzle hides pertaining to some favorite Rock & Roll albums.
This cache is dedicated to the Rolling Stones and their “Sticky Fingers” album.
The Rolling Stones, consisting of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor released their 11th American studio album “Sticky Fingers” in 1971. It was their 1st album under the newly formed label Rolling Stones Records. It was also the 1st full time appearance of new member Mick Taylor, 1st of Mick Jaggar playing guitar along with the 1st album former founding member Brian Jones was not involved.
The uniqueness of the cover caused much controversy. Showing a male in tight blue jeans, it had a working zipper when unzipped revealed cotton briefs. In Spain this cover was banned and replaced with a picture of fingers in a can. The song “Sister Morphine” was also replaced with a version of Chuck Berry’s “Let It Rock”. In 1992 Russia also changed the cover showing a photograph of what appears to be a female in blue jeans with the hammer and sickle on the belt buckle.
The album hit #1 on the U.S. charts within days of it’s release and remained there for 4 weeks.
