High tide zone, also called the Upper Mid-littoral Zone, is likely to be the habitat for:
- green algae, isopods, sea lettuce, sea palms, snails, and periwinkles.whelks.
In the middle tide zone, also called the Mid-littoral Zone, you just might see:
- barnacles, chitons, limpets, crabs, mussels and sponges.
The lower tide zone, has the most variety of life, but it’s harder to see.
- anemones, sea stars, crabs and many other plant and animals.
Of course some the plants and animals thrive in higher or lower levels.
