Geocache Description:

The Bellecour place is the largest square in the city of Lyon (62,000 m2). In the middle is an equestrian statue of king Louis XIV, by François-Frédéric Lemot.
King Louis XIV is figured riding "to the Roman" (without saddle or stirrups) but an urban legend wants that Lemot would have committed suicide to have forgotten the stirrups to the statue.
At the bottom of the statue are two fluvial allegories : Le Rhône by Guillaume Coustou on the right and La Saône by Nicolas Coustou on the left.

To log this virtual :
1- Find the lion on the Rhône side.
2- Take a picture of the lion.
3- Draw a smiley on your finger as in the photo (optional).

4- Join it to your log.

Have fun and be creative !!!
