The Location
Steele Farm is a 34 acre plot of land which was purchased by the Town of Boxborough in 1994. The purchase also included three buildings: the house, the barn and a small out building. There is a small pond near the house. From the highest point on the property, at the west side of the main field, you can see views of Boston (well at least the Prudential Center and Hancock Towers) toward the east. In January Steele Farm is the site of the annual Boxborough Winter Fest -- the sledding is great!
The Cache
This cache is a simple two part multi-cache that will allow you to explore the grounds of Steele Farm. The container at the first part is a micro -- inside this container you will find the coordinates to the final. Both hides are near the trail so you shouldn't need to do any serious bushwhacking. There is parking available at N42° 29.443 W071° 31.370. Round trip from the parking area is about 1 mile and there is a little poison ivy near both cache locations and along the trail so beware.
If you are in the area please visit our other multi-cache here at Steele Farm or a short drive away in Rolling Meadows.
