Geocache Description:

A micro hidden by a new library and sports complex near Coyote Creek

If you haven't been down Tully Road in San Jose in the past year or so, you may not know there is a brand new city library (visit link) and a large youth sports complex here (visit link) . It's between the east bank of Coyote Creek and Kenoga Drive. The sports complex includes soccer, Little League, softball, batting cages, and T-ball fields. It also has a restroom, picnic tables, snack stand, and bleachers. During the summer, this is likely to be a busy place. This cache is located in a part of the complex away from the playing fields, but in plain sight of traffic on Tully. If you are subtle, you should be able to retrieve the cache without arousing suspicion. The cache is also near a small ravine that was once probably part of the Coyote Creek riparian corrdor. Just pretend you are looking at the trees while searching for the cache. The cache is a sign-only micro. Bring your own pen. Replace it so it can't be seen.

Check out the library if you're here when it's open. It's the latest in library design, covering 24,300 square feet, with a community room, study rooms, a technology center and Internet Cafe.

While the playing fields back up to Coyote Creek, there is no creek trail here, at least not officially. South of the playing fields is the San Jose Police Department's Horse Mounted Unit. To reach the Coyote Creek Trail, take Kenoga Drive south to Stonegate Park. There's a cache there at the start of path along the creek (visit link) . The park paths lead to the Coyote Creek Trail, which begins where the park ends at the Los Lagos Golf Course (visit link) .
