In English: Swift a migratory bird. Its main goal to travel far away from the nest at winter and at spring arrive back (in April or May) to Hungary. If it possible help him to travel Africa or any far place from the nest around the world. ;-) We hope that it will come back!
Magyar nyelven: A Swift magyarul sarlósfecske, s a célja, hogy a tél folyamán távol legyen Magyarországtól, de tavasszal visszaérkezzen oda (áprilisban vagy májusban). Ha mód van rá, akkor jusson el Afrikába, de akár a világ más részeire is elviheted. ;-) Reméljük, hogy visszaérkezik a fészekbe!
In English: The Swift is not a real swallow species. Not songbirds (Passeriformes), but within a separate ordo (Apodiformes). Wintering in Africa, and only in late April, early May come back to Europe.
The church tower usually nest in 2-3 pairs (in Nagyhalász, where is the Geocache GC1ZR79).
It would be nice if you send or uploading photos to the path of Swift. ;-)
Magyar nyelven: A sarlósfecske nem valódi fecske faj, azaz nem énekesmadár (Passeriformes), hanem külön madárrendbe tartozik (Apodiformes). Magyarországon foként városokban, a magas épületek zugaiban költ. A telet Afrikában töltik, s csak április végén, május elején érkeznek vissza Európába.
A református templom tornyának tetolemeze alatti résekben is költ 2-3 pár (Nagyhalászban, ahol a GC1ZR79 geoláda található).
Jó lenne, ha küldenél vagy töltenél fel fotókat Swift útjáról! ;-)
