The purpose of the Travel Book is to travel among as many caches as possible, to meet as many people as possible. At every step, its mission is to gather some words that the those who take it consider important, inspiring or anyhow worth being passed on. “For words alone are certain good” as the Irish poet W. B. Yeats put it. I like to see it as something resembling a probe, sent to collect images and sounds from far away people, never to return. This way, the Travel book is not necessarily conceived to “report” to us its content, but to take it to every new encounter. I do not set a course for the Travel Book, but I would like it to pass through County Sligo, Eire, homeland of the aforementioned W.B. Yeats, to thank for the citation we stole...
The Travel Book is Acarodp's first travel bug. It is a small aluminium case (a japanese business card container actually) protecting a little logbook. Although the Travel Book is not meant to return, I would like to be able to read what it collected. So, I would appreciate if the cacher finding the logbook full would send me an email: I will send him a replacement logbook, and an address where to send the full one.
