    Date of death: 03 January 2009 😟 😡 💀 👎 ❔

On the request of Hradnik I visited the cache today to check whether the Tram Geocoin is in or not. I am sorry to inform you, that the coin is unfortunately missing. 😟
I tried to make some enquires and found out the following: There is a log on the Hungarian geocaching site on 03.01.2009 at 13:38 from “2in1”; “taska1981” visited the cache on 05.01.2009 and did not find the geocoin in the cache; there are no logs in the logbook between the two dates. “taska1981” contacted already on 05.01.2009 “2in1” to ask, whether he has seen and/or took the coin with him. The answer was yes, he saw the coin in the box, but did not take it, but left it inside the cache. He also made a note on this fact on the Hungarian site. So, the coin must have been taken between 03.01.2009 13:38 and 05.01.2009 by someone, who did not log neither into the logbook, nor into any of the sites. It can happen very easily that he/she was not even a geocacher, but a muggle, who found it by accident and found it interesting. As a second alternative the coin might have fallen out of the box by opening it. I have checked the grass around the location, but did not find anything. I really do not have any more idea. I try to post a note on the Hungarian geocahing forum, but I am a bit sceptic about the results.

Today I've visited the cache, but the coin wasn't in there... There was no log in the book, and no log on the Hungarian site. I hope the best!

Dropped Off 1/2/2009 cic placed it in Big Cigar (Szól a rádió - GCSZOL) Pest, Hungary - 495.58 miles  Visit Log

I left this coin at the broadcasting tower of Lakihegy near Budapest.

At the time of its erection the tower with its 314 m height (284 m girder structure and 30 m high tuning tube) and 280 t weight was the highest steel construction of the world. It is still in operation though today it serves exclusively industrial purposes.

    • The Big Cigar - Lakihegy broadcasting tower
    • The "foot" of the tower Can you believe 280 tons standing on these two ceramic hemispheres?

She is very irresponsible. I hope that the GC will be saved to other cache soon.

The cache Gilligan au Rome disappeared, owing to the Tevere River flooding, on December 2008.
The coin that was inside has to be considered lost!

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 10/26/2008 cic grabbed it   Visit Log

Found it and took it to visit another country. Loged it already right after finding the TB, but the owner deleted my log. I am sorry, but this was absolutely unnecessary and confused others.
