Flat Stanley, Jr. wants to see the world. We’d love to see pictures of Stanley from his travels. We'd also like you post where you would go, or what you would do if you were "flat" like Stanley.
Flat Stanley is a book by Jeff Brown. In the story, Stanley Lambchop is flattened by a falling bulletin board. He survives and makes the best of his altered state, and soon he is sliding into rooms through the opening at the bottom of closed doors. Stanley helps catch some art museum thieves by posing as a painting on the wall. But one special advantage is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by being mailed in an envelope. Brenda made a Flat Stanley in school, and mailed it to Sonny and Sandy of Podcacher. They treated him well. He visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, went camping at a geocaching event and went caching, before returning to Brenda back in PA. Here is the link to the photos from his adventures: Link We had so much fun tracking his adventures that Brenda decided to send a smaller version of him out as a travel bug. This travel bug is a photograph of the full-sized Stanley that Brenda made in school. We strongly encourage you to read Flat Stanley (or any of the other books about Stanley: Stanley In Space, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Invisible Stanley, Stanley's Christmas Adventure, Stanley Flat Again). If you have a copy of any of these books, post a picture of Flat Stanley, Jr. with your book!
