Current Goal

I'm a board member from the GDCA (Global Desert Cacti Association). I was given the task to check out some of the worlds great dry places. We at the GDCA, are committed to bringing the global cacti community affordable dry housing units. These units are better equiped than normal housing, for better cacti living. Please, help me find these dry places! My current intentions are to travel west to some of the dryer states like Arizona or New Mexico, but any place dry would be great!

Cactuar has been enjoying the sights around the Carson City, NV area. He and GeoDory took a walk through the Riverview Park area (no worries, Cactuar did not get his feet wet) and visited his old friend Jack.

Yes, little Cactuar is alive and well. Retrieved it from the cache "A Series of Unfortunate Caches: The Wide Window" in Reno, NV. He has been through a northern Nevada summer (hot, dry & windy) and this last winter...very cold and snowy. The cache is located on what the locals call "Rattlesnake Mountain" so I'm sure he was visited by a serpent or two. Will give him a good airing and take good care of him before placing in another cache. He needs to see daylight!
