Just hike pulled out this coin and I had to check it out. I was not military myself but I come from a long line of people who did serve, in my family. My grandfather retired with an honorable discharge and as an officer with a purple heart. My dad was in the 82nd Airborne and served in Desert sheild and Storm where he was transfered to Fort Ord where Just hike was serving as an MP while I was there. We did not know each other then unless he was the officer who chased my friends and I as we crashed shopping carts together at the PX. I now have a nephew serving in Iraq and my best friend is serving in the Air Force (course though, he is in Hawaii). A big HA-WHOO-WAH to all you who serve our great country.
