About This Item

This pottery coin is one of a set of four we are 'setting free' in celebration of our 200 cache milestone on July 28 2007. The release was held off until October 6th at the “Geocoinfest Multi Event - Aotearoa (Canterbury)”.

Each has a different pattern of an ancient Chinese Animal; representing a direction,a season & an element.
Black Tortoise - North, Winter, Water
Azure Dragon - East, Spring, Wood
White Tiger - West, Autumn, Metal
Red Phoenix - South, Summer, Fire

I didn't realise these four coins were to be kept together. I think there were only 3 when I went to the cache. Very sorry about this. Now Black Bortoise is on its way somewhere else. Perhaps the new goal will be to get them back together again at a particular cache? Am not able to take photos at the moment. VERY SORRY ABOUT THE MUCK UP!
