I was the one who dropped this coin off in Painted Rock cache back in January. I was back in the area again today, to camp this time, and thought I would check the cache to see if the coin was buried somewhere at the bottom. It was not. Let's just hope someone picked it up and eventually logs it and sends it back out.

Ok Berkshire coin. I do hope it has enjoyed traveling with me, but the time has come to join someone else's journey as I return to Tucson where I found this. I will post photos later once I get my computer back up and running. This is a nice spot on a hill overlooking a rather lush desert. I did some rock hounding around the corner and found a bit of agate. There are petroglyphs near here, but I did not look for them today. The sun was setting as I place this in the cache (after getting to the top of the hill and then remembering the coin was still in the car and going back down and then back up) and it was very pretty and peaceful. Good journeys, coin!

A quick stop for a nice cache and a chance to put another stop on the map for this coin. I have traveled through here occasionally through the years and it is always amazing to see some little place thriving with business in the middle of the desert. And this one has date palms scattered about!

Not a good place for a drop, but this is hilarious how many caches are hidden in this area...TONS! Check the map. Amazing. So I ended up doing 25 in this series today before heading back to Tucson. Placed on every other electrical pole, tons of magnetic key boxes! What a hoot..I highly recommend this, especially if you had someone else with you to help jump out and log it so the other can keep the car ready to go and move faster! Fun stuff!

A quick dip in a California cache. Left some other bugs there, will find another for this coin.

A really cool earthcache showing the effects of water harvesting from underground.

Picked this one back up from Roadside Posts. No one had been there since I dropped it off, and I am heading to Yuma tomorrow....Road Trip!!

My second time trying to get this cache, right on the roadway within a group of mailboxes and a roadside memorial. Just awkward and couldn't find it let alone it feeling uncomfortable. Tried again today, wasn't doing well until I noticed the hint/joke on the memorial. See the pics, gave it away, once I noticed it! A nice Christmas day, good travels Berkshire Search and Rescue coin!

Hope you don't mind, but I have a habit of taking pics of pet/animal themed tb's with my own pets. So here they are! I work with a local dog rescue group here in Tucson too. No fosters right now, just mine.

    • Chester with Berkshire coin 12/24/2010 He seems in the spirit!! I fostered Chester for a couple hours as my first foster dog with Tucson Cold Wet Noses. Decided after a couple hours that he was gonna live with me - he is my best friend. I couldn't be happier with my 'pound puppy'!!
    • Princess with Bershire coin 12/24/2010 Princess mostly hides and rarely is seen around the house, but there she was this morning waiting for her photo to be taken with coin! She was adopted from a rescue in CA many years ago.
    • Modoc with Berkshire coin 12/24/2010 Modoc was adopted about 12 years ago from a shelter in CA. Good dog, she is getting on in years. Probably her last Christmas with us.
    • 'Kitten' with Berkshire coin 12/24/2010 My son's shelter cat seems to be really enjoying the coin! Got her 3 years ago yesterday. A fabulous girl who rolls with any punches thrown her way. Cute too!
    • Dakota with Berkshire coin 12/24/2010 Adopted Dakota 7 years ago, she can be naughty or nice, depending on her mood. But she is my pal and we get along....when she wants to !!
