About This Item

This bug started it's journey at the Cinco de Cacho! event in Auburn, New York. This event celebrated the 5 year anniversary since the first geocache was placed (May 3, 2000).

Honeychile at BumbleButtons.com designed the pins that were handed out at this event. This keychain was a bonus she included with my order, so I thought I would make it into a travelbug and send it around the world. If there is a geocaching event coming up, please take this bug with you to that event. Otherwise, just move it along to another cache. Thanks!

Picked up this sweet TB from "Queens Place" cache. I'm not off to any events any time soon, so I'll just pop it into another cache.

Well, Cinco de Cacho was not exactly at an event cache, but did participate in an organised cache hunt at Beerwah, part of the Glass House Mountains, which was an event of sorts. These mountains are the remnant core of volcanoes active about 25 million years ago and also the subject of an Aboriginal legend. Beerwah is the largest, with an elevation of 556 metres.

    • View from Mt Beerwah This view from the top of Mt Beerwah looks towards Mt Coonowrin (Crookneck) and Mt Tibrogargan (Gorilla). Aboriginal legend is that Beerwah and Tibrogargan were the parents of the other mountains in the Glass House Group (Coonowrin being the eldest child).
