Current Goal

There are many travel bugs travelling under the same tag number...their goal(s) are just to travel far and wide and often.
Why? An experiment in Chaos! You never really know where they are or where they're going to pop up. It's confusing. It's serendipitous. It's taking The Way Things Work and rattling them around a bit!

About This Item

Gleepsnitz and Shaggataur

IMPORTANT: After almost 5 years and 170,000 miles of alien travel, it seems as though this popular travel bug has been banned/locked by the powers that be at Geocaching.com. There doesn't seem to be much that I can do about it, other than shake my head and remember that geocaching used to be creative and fun.

If you come across one of these persona-non-grata aliens, and want to mail them back to me send me a message and I will give you an address. I'll try to return the favor with a postcard, geo-trinket, or a "legal" travel bug if I have one handy.

Thanks to all who've found and logged my little aliens over the years!

LOGGING: Chances are the alien you found is not where Geocaching.com thinks it is. That's the "chaos" part. NBD. When you log it, use "grab it from..." or "discovered it" and then you'll be able to do what you wish with it. If that's too complicated, don't sweat it, just move it along to a new cache.

If you think of it, please give the NAME of your alien in the log. There are many different ones and it will help (a little) to track them, even though our technology is primitive.

Update 15 November 2006: The second wave of the Alien invasion is at hand! More of them are being released! Keep your eyes out for Jeepnitz, Aukko, Inkpok, Puckky, Meepit, Blooo, Grunko, Argok, Ayglop, and Foilka.

Discovered "Meepit" and allowed him to escape his pod...
After only moments of freedom, he retreated back to his chamber (GCGX2V) for another cacher to find! I did snap a quick pic, though!
