We are trying to learn historical facts about local areas. We are hoping for information that we do not find in a history book. I first placed the coin at the area of the Old Thompson, Mi. Dock. The signs I have uploaded will tell you a bit about the history of these docks. I personally love the story of the Christmas Ship. It is a good example of how life was here in the Upper Peninsula.
