Ein Berliner möchte nach Berlin.

Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin. Und darum muß ich da auch wieder hin.

Oder: Ich bin ein Berliner.

Dieser Berliner möchte gerne mal nach Berlin, dort hin, wo seine Artgenossen Pfannkuchen genannt werden. Im Nordhessischen sagen wir ja Kräbbeln. Im angloamerikanischen Sprachraum wird er als Donut bezeichnet.

This donut wants to travel to Berlin. All over Germany this kind of deep fried dough is called Berliner. Except in Berlin, there they're called Pfannkuchen. In our area they are known as Kraebbeln, while Angloamericans refer to it as donut.
