Jerry Garcia (August 1, 1942 - August 9, 1995) lost half of his middle finger on his right hand at a young age in a wood chopping accident. I am in awe not only of his guitar playing abilty, but also his being proficient on the banjo and pedal steel guitar (which require multiple finger picking). This bug is being activated on Jerry's birthday, and it will be put into circulation an the 10th anniversary of his passing. My first show was on 10/21/88 at Reunion Arena in Dallas, TX. My last shows for the Grateful Dead were the Mardi Gras run In Oakland, CA in Feb. '95.

Will be taking you up to the Land of 10,000 lakes. Actually there's more, 11,842. But it just wouldn't sound right to call Minnesota the "Land of 11,842 Lakes". Who'd remember that?
