About This Item

Jeremy's Blue Hornet

Jeremy's Blue Hornet originated from the US Airforce Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA. I recently introduced my son to geocaching. He is in the Airforce and travels to many countries. I thought it would be fun to see if this TB could make it to a military base near his location. He is currently stationed at Lakenheath AB England.

Found today. Looks like the Blue Hornet has been flying around in a circle; the Stanley's Revenge cache is right next to the Air Force Academy. I'll hold on to it for a week then take it as far east as I can, probably somewhere around Black Forest.

No name on this Travel Bug. Not being an Air Force pilot, I''ll presume that the Blue Angels jet attached to the bug (Made in China), is a Blue Hornet❔ Will hope to find it a new home soon.

Parameter69 pulled this bug from Red Rock Ramblers. It will probably end up traveling north a bit and be placed in one of the famed SparrowPI caches.

Well, it did not last long. Our party recovered Jeremy's Blue Hornet on Saturday, 10-19-02. This was our second cache of the day. The hike in was a lot longer than the hike out.

We will have the Hornet for about two weeks - a little less time if all goes well. We will do our best to get him on his way.

Spent 11 years in the Air Force myself and by coincidence was just teaching my son about geocaching as well. A friend introduced me recently.

Happy Trails.
