About This Item

llamaTB 008.jpg

Llamas make great hiking companions. They can be trained to pack your gear, whether you are out for a week long expedition or just for a afternoon picnic. Peruvians use tassels to identify their llamas in the herd, bells so they know where they are. This TB, with tassels, bells and beads, is not a traditional combination, but it sure looks great on this llama!

Warning- llamas that are unfamiliar with the sound of a bell should not have this TB clipped to it's halter. You will have one bouncy llama otherwise!!!

While searching for the cache in an old hollow tree we had a very close encounter with a racoon. Will move the TB along, further north I think.

FYI - was at walk in the widerness (GCT6V7) today at saw the (TBKNXX) Llama's bells was not in the cache. Checked on line a noted last person moved the TB to new cache (GCNAB5) without logging it correctly. No one has been to the new cache to locate it yet.

(I finally managed to get out and find a cache today and have now sent Llama Bells(TBKNXX) on its way again. It's new location is TICO#5, located at N 43 16.750, W079 59.410. The weather is sure not as nice as on New Year's Day. I guess occasional lashings of light rain and sleet still beat a full blown snow storm.)

This cache fulfils both goals. It's on a picturesque hiking trail in the beautiful Rouge Valley Park. It's also within walking distance of the Metro Toronto Zoo. Home of some llamas and hundreds of other beasts from around the world.

Retrieved this to take back to Toronto with me.

  • Will a goat do? Here is moop jr. with the Llama Bells TB hanging with a couple of new friends. Couldn't find any Llamas around Richland, Michigan but our hosts kept this pair of beasts.
