This simple staff is not to be owned, but to be shared. Use it for a while and add your mark if you wish carve it. Paint it. Adorm it and then pass it on. Hide it in a bushwacker-worthy spot near a cache in Brevard or Central Florida, and post the coordinates in the cache or on the page. It is fair to find it more than once, but give others a chance too.

Bushwacker's Bonus

This "bug" was started by Capaldo and I was the first stop on its journey. As part of my adornment to the stick I placed a travel bug tag on it so it's path can be documented. Treat it well!

The bushwacker stick is now at 27 52.100 80 36.158

I parked at 'Out on a Limb' parking lot and rode my bike
to the 'people gate' entrance at N 27° 52.419' W 80° 36.349' .
I put a palm frond in the main gate chain(south power line entrance,at above coords).If you retrieve the bushwacker stick please remove the palm frond on your way out, prevent others from looking for a missing bug, and log out the bug asap.

I finally got my chance at the Bushwacker.
I believe that Boonieman upheld the spirit of the stick
in placing it in 'Where'n Blazes'.
Volks I am really impressed with your carvings.
I do not know yet what I will add. I will send it along
when I am done.

Woohoo! I found the much sought after Bush Whacker Bonus today. Never have I seen such beautiful carvings on a hiking stick before. Very impressive, guys!

I must say, the Yorky Lovers did a marvelous job in hiding the bonus. It was hidden such that I had to navigate a maze of trails, bush whack through a jungle and wade across several creeks before I could get my hands on it. Definitely my kind of an adventure.

Thanks guys for making it a fun challenge. I really enjoyed it.

We took Bushwackers Bonus with us this weekend to the Cub Scouts Webelos woods camp out at Wickham Park. Our boys had to compete against other packs on Flag, Knots, Orienteering, First Aid & Starting a fire and Fire safety. Our pack took 2nd over all, and our patrol the Predators took 2nd in Fire and our other patrol the Vikings took 1st in fire. While the boys were busy I worked on carving our symbol on the Bushwackers Bonus. I also caved a Spirit on the Knot. Now I just have to put a finish on it and I will Re-hide it and post coords for the next Bushwacker.
