Current Goal

Everyone owns a pocket knife (Don't they?), particularly geocachers.  The goal of this travel bug is to have its picture taken with as many different pocket knives as possible.  If you pick up this T-Bug, post a picture of it with your favorite pocket knife and pass it along to another cache for someone else to pick up.

Thanks - Rocket Man

Found it at Ibach & Fourth (zip code 97062). Can't go out geocaching again for over one week, so my daughter (much to her disappointment) and I left it in the cache.

We picked up the Buck Coin from the Schools Cache and will have its picture taken with one of our pocket knives, I'm not sure that we have a Buck knife though. Anyway, we will upload a picture as soon as we have one and then send this coin on its way. My 12 yr old son was excited to find it.

I picked him up from Rancho Bernardo View. You want pocket knives? I've GOT pocket knives -- I'm not sure if I Have a buck knife, but I'll look.

  • Buck and his Buds These are not all my knives, but the ones with memories. The hunting knife at the top has been used on many an occasion when hunting with my dad and brother. I know first hand it has field dressed a few deer.

The Old Timer on the left I found stuck into a log down by the lake while fishing with my dad. I went down to clean our catch for the day and found a new knife to do it with. I carried this knife for probably 10 years. I think I liked it mainly because it was like my dad's knife.

The Old Timer on the right WAS my dad's. He carried it for probably 30 years or so -- right up until the time he passed away. Now it's mine.

The gerber knife just above the buck bug is the one I carry with me at this time. It was a 5 year gift for being with my company. I've carried it so long you can no longer see the company's name engraved into the handle. I've been with the company 18 years now, which means this knife has been my companion for 13 years.

The Swiss Army knife at the bottom, with attached flashlight I also carry at all times. No real sentimental value -- just function.

Finding this TB got me thinking about Buck leaving its home of over 100, having been overregulated out of the State of California. We have some beautiful real estate here, but our state and local governments had better start taking their hands off!
