Given your latest log you will hopefully be relieved to know that surf smurf is alive and well. He was hanging out enjoying one of the western most points of Australia; Rottnest Island. We have an annual swim, 20km from the mainland (Perth) to the island and this event occurred on Saturday. I swam as part of a team and then enjoyed a lovely (all be it hilly!) ride around the island. Surf Smurf was in a multi cache called IMB: Look Windward which is owned by snoseeker who placed him in the cache. The final for the cache was orginally on Rottnest, got moved to Perth and then, early in 2012, it was moved back to Rottnest. Since the cache is a multi and the final is at the very end of the island it is rarely found. There are no vehicles allowed on the island so everyone rides bikes. As such, I have taken a photo of surf smurf with two of my bikes. This is particularly fitting since I ride about 5 times a week. I have also included my once loved Papa Smurf. He is my original baby cuddly (which really does make him Papa!!). I am sorry I did not take a photo of the TB at his cache location since the views are spectacular. I will place Surf Smurf further up the coastline of Western Australia shortly since I'm travelling to some great beaches next weekend.
