Current Goal

Buddy wants to travel and see other kitties. We know many dogs that get to go geocaching, but this is a way to get the kitties envolved. Try to bring Buddy home and take a picture of him with Your kitties(or doggies) and post it. Just taking the picture is worth the fun! Please DON'T pick him up if you don't plan on Placing him SOON. Thanks ...Please ...NO VISITING pick me up and then MOVE me...!

About This Item

Buddy

1994-2001 Buddy was a great big fat cat who sneezed a lot. We think he had Cronic Sinusitus, and he died during a sneezing attack. He was so big and he had such a funny meow, that we called him 'Budzilla' He often would sit up on his butt and cry, sounding a lot like Godzilla. But this made him look funny, so we also would call him 'prairiekitty'.[see picture] Buddy loved to be petted and loved, and he had a habit of 'flopping down' on his side infront of your feet, many times while you were still walking...Buddy was pretty fat, so needless to say we tripped over him way too often. So we would also call him 'Speedbump Kitty' when hw did his 'Buddy Flop!' He loved to sleep with his best friend Toadie, who is also another cat travel bug. Buddy was set free along with the other feline travel bugs Kiteah, Toadie and Flik in the Colorado Bug Cache on 3/7/3 ! Please post pictures of Buddy's travels and furry friends he meets along the way! Thanks. Buddy was a great friend and a very loving cat. He will be deeply missed and Forever Loved.

3 YEARS, 5 months UPDATE: 8/2006

I have four kitties that are travel bugs...And If they were racing for the longest distance travelled... KITEAH WINS!!!
Here are some totals:

BUDDY = 6122 miles with 11 cachers
KITEAH = 20776 miles with 61 cachers
TOADIE = 4579 miles with 33 cachers
FLIK = 14759 miles with 35 cachers

Some Highlights:
Buddy made it to Alaska and back. Kiteah made it Switzerland. Flik got stuck in New Mexico for 3 months, then made it to the United Kingdom and back! Toadie went missing in Texas for a year and months and magically re-appeared. There are Tons of pictures of Toadie and all the kitties with new feline friends. Kiteah got lost for 3 months , was remade, and still caught up and finished first in the milage race! My sister in CA found three of my four tb's!

Congratulations BUDDY! We miss you So Much! Thanks to all who helped keep Buddy close to our hearts and helped him Move so well through the game!

Our very first cache ever had a travel bug. How serendipitous! We knew we were on our way to another cache, so we took "Buddy" along for the ride.

Buddy is our first travel bug find. I was so excited to find him after reading the story about him. We'll keep him safe until we can place him at his next stop!
