About This Item

Elvis wants to return home to Graceland. Along the way, he would love to visit with his legion of fans. He especially looks forward to having his picture taken along the way and posted on his page, as movie roles have been scarce in the past few years. A peanut butter 'nana sandwich or two would also be appreciated.

I went out to find Elvis in order to let him spend a little time with the Ringbearer TB. It's kind of fitting that Frodo should see the return of the King. We have a house near us that is a copy of Graceland. I will try to get a picture of Elvis in front of it.

I took Elvis in to work with me, he enjoyed the train ride into the Loop and was warmly welcomed by all the commuters.

He was blabbering something about movies that have been shot in Chicago, so I took him to a few scenes where movies were shot near my office.

  • Hotel A scene from a Clint Eastwood movie was shot at this hotel, formerly the Harrison Hotel. Also pictured a fan recognized Elvis on the street and a lengthy conversation ensued.
  • Blackstone Hotel and Theatre This hotel was where Al Capone and his gang hung out and the TV show The Untouchables was frequently shot. The building is being renovated and converted to condos.
  • Elvis On The Phone When word got out that Elvis was visiting the phone wouldn't stop ringing.
