About This Item

This is a small wood coin from a Scouting event that is held every Jan in near Newton KS. At Trappers Rendezvous Scouts from all around the area come and learn about historical mountain men and women from the past. Julia Archibald Holmes is famous as the first women known to reach the summit of Pikes Peak on August 5th 1858. She was a very interesting person and you can read more about here life here.
