I rescued Al from the AT Trail Breakfast cache where he was smothered with a lot of other trinkets. He thanked me and said he could hardly breathe in there. I plan to move Al along toward the south-western part of the state within one week if my plans to travel there on a mountainbiking trip solidify, if not, I will travel as far south as possible and place him closer to his destination. In the meantime, he is enjoying the fresh air.

Retrieve It from a Cache 3/1/2004 TrixieTurtle retrieved it from Lindy Point West Virginia   Visit Log

Found Al Sherman at Lindy Point. He was cold, with the snow, but still dry and so will help him on his way as I live in Roanoke, VA. It was a beautiful day for the hike at around 55 degrees and the path covered with snow. We walked on to the overlook with its wonderful view. The cache is in need of repair and I wish I had taken a new container for it. I took Al and left a small ball and McDonald Lion King toy. I also took an old battery which someone had left. I could not write in the log, as I was frozen solid. Al is safe and will move soon on to his destination.

Nabbed Al Sherman with his travel bug today-1-4-2004 at 1PM. Al asked if he could ski the Valley before he left, but I showed him the melting snow & so he shrugged & said maybe next time - or maybe he'll find a bit of snow on his trek south - if he takes a mountain route.
Plan to send Al & travel bug on their way tomorrow.
