Geosquare Explorer is in a race with Geosquare Pioneer to see who can visit caches in the most 100km grid squares in Great Britain. These can be any caches, not just those in the Geosquare series.
The Ordnance Survey (OS) National Grid provides a unique reference system, which can be seen on all Ordnance Survey maps of Great Britain. Great Britain is covered by 100 kilometregrid squares, each grid square is identified by two letters.
The British Grid reference is given at the top of each cache page just below the main co-ordinates shown in bold, as circled in the example below. When a new square gets visited I will update the map and table below:-
The Geosquare Series Caches in the Geosquare series are named after the 1km square in which it is placed. The first cache in the series was Geosquare SP2382 - Middle England. As the series hopefully builds up it will lead to other chalenges being set. Please see my Profile page for some ideas I've had. Please feel free to add to the series. It would be fantastic to see some Geosquare caches springing up in other parts of the country.
