This cache is set in the walled garden of The Greyfriars a lovely 15th century Merchant’s house situated in the heart of the City of Worcester.
The Greyfriars is a house with a twist. It was saved from demolition in the 1940’s and if you visit the house you will see how the ‘Make Do and Mend’ ethos of that era created this unique house and garden. Discover a bit more about Worcester and how The Greyfriars was part of the city’s history.
PLEASE NOTE THIS CACHE IS ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN THE HOUSE IS OPEN.
The Greyfriars is open in 2015 from 17 February until 19 December from 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. This year, for the first time Greyfriars will also be open from 31 March until 3 October for Guided Tours only between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm. Although you may wish to pay to visit the house, there is no admission charge to the garden if you are looking for the cache.
The cache is a small clip lock box in a ‘camo’ bag. Stealth will be necessary during busy times. Feel free to use the Summer House or other secluded areas to sign the log.
Initial contents include a variety of child-centred items, one or two items for older cachers and a First to Find trackable (unactivated).
