Current Goal

March 2010: Heading for S.E.Wales, please...

Nuts the Squirrel is in a TB race with "Berries the Bear" belonging to cacher Munkeh. Starting from A Stationary cache, in March 2007, he had to beat Berries to any one of the most northerly caches (done), then to one in the far south west (done), then back to any of the Blorenges' caches in S.E. Wales. An epic adventure for a small squirrel!

**Update 8th April 2008 He lives! He lives! Fortunately Nuts the Bear was able to escape the muggles and after an arduous cross-country yomp, working his way south-west, he ended up at the port of Newlyn. Passing the Co-op windows, he caught a glimpse of his reflection - he was his old self once more! The radioactivity in the granite outcrop where Trinket cache had been hidden had strangely rejuvenated Nuts. Once more he was able to be true to his squirrel side and he happily wandered the narrow streets of the small fishing port. Happily, as Fate would have it, he was recognised by Mrs Blorenge who just happened to be in the area for a few days R&R. She swept Nuts up into her caching bag and dropped him into a Multi-cache overlooking Mount's Bay. SO! Let the race continue!
20th May 2008 What are you doing in Germany? Do they have better nuts over there? Come back soon - You were winning the Race!
22nd May 2009 - OK, Nuts, enough is enough! I've had enough of you messing around in Germany - Get on the next car/ferry/plane back to England! You've got a Race to complete... Sheeeeesh! never trust a squirrel...
27th February 2010: At last! The prodigal squirrel returns to his homeland after wandering around Europe for ages. OK, Nuts, now get moving - Go west, young squirrel!

21 December 2010: Nuts? What're you doin', lad? West is where you need to be. Rumour has it you're up a mountain somewhere...

I went up pen y fan yesterday and did all the caches on the high ground. I planned to drop him off in this classic bit of South Wales, but did not drop him off as the caches that were large enough for him where all very wet and he would have not liked them.

Was planning a visit to Pen y fan when I can convince one of my kids to go up there (the last time they went up we have zero visibility and horizontal rain which I guess is quite normal). I don't know why they are not more keen

Picked this one up today. Will be dropping off in the M42 Travel Bug Inn shortly. Being v. close to the M42 hopefully someone can pick it up on their way past and take it down the M42 and M5.
