About This Item

This is a monkey's fist knot. This type of knot is attached to the end of a rope adding weight to it when mooring ships.

    I picked this little guy up from an oasis in the middle of a sand dune in Peru. I'm thinking that he would like to check out Machu Picchu...we'll see what we can do about that!

    • Huacachina, an Oasis Huacachina is in the desert in the South of Peru in the middle of some AMAZING sand dunes where people come to sandboard (like snowboarding, but on sand).
    • Cruising around on the sand dunes The cache where the Wandering Monkey was stashed was 2 kilometers away from the Oasis, reached only by dune buggy!
