Lt: 1933 m. lietuvių pilotai Steponas Darius ir Stasys Girėnas siekė pagerinti skrydžio be nusileidimo rekordą. Jų suplanuotas transatlantinis maršrutas (New York - Newfoundland - Atlantic Ocean - Ireland - London - Amsterdam - Swinemünde - Königsberg - Kaunas) siekė 7186 km. Tačiau 1933 m. liepos 17 d. Soldino miške "Lituanica" sudužo nuskridusi 6411 km. Tuo metu tai buvo antrasis skrydžio be nusileidimo rezultatas pasaulyje. "Lituanica" yra pirmoji lietuviška jubiliejinė geo-moneta, sukurta 2013 m. minint skrydžio 80-metį.
En: In 1933 Lithuanian pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas wanted to improve the flight without landing record. Their planned transatlantic route (New York-Newfoundland-Atlantic Ocean-Ireland-London-Amsterdam-Swinemünde-Königsberg-Kaunas) was 7186 km. However, on 17 July 1933, "Lituanica" reached the distance of 6411 km, but crashed in the Soldin forest. This was the second best world record for a non-stop flight at the time. "Lituanica" is the first Lithuanian anniversary geocoin, which was created to memory the 80 anniversary of this flight.
