This traveler and its siblings have no particular goal except to see whatever sights their rides would like to show them.
This very utilitarian traveler was released to the world at the Greater Fresno Area Geocacher's Get-together on 19 October, 2002. "1 of 5" was released with four others with all of them going in five different directions. They hope to see as much of the world as they can (on the shoestring budget they have) with the hopes of returning home by December 2004 to swap stories.
As of 07 February 2004, this is the only one of two of 'The Original Five' that is still traveling. The others have been kidnapped, stranded, or just plain lost. So...
Thank you for keeping this Travel Bug traveling!
"1 of 5" has been assimilating technology in its travels. Great Scott was able to capture a photo of "1 of 5" without being assimilated himself.
These are the other 4 of the 5
The assimilations have begun. There are now an additional four...
There is also the anti-assimilator. (We don't need no stinkin' collective!)
Hugh is on a mission to capture, liberate, and/or rescue the 'Five', most particularly '3 of 5'.
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

This was our first cache, we found this travel bug, my son REALLY wanted the star treck guy, so I thought OK, it's not the guy that is important to keep moving, it is the travel bug tag. So I removed the tag and put it on this purple nexium clock guy. We went to the next cache in Eue Plaine and we found that the nexim guy did not fit in the container, so again I took off the tags and put them on a blue bead necklace. We left. Later that night (7pm) we went on the site to log our visits and see where the travel bug had been. When we opened up the page on the bug. There was the picture of the star treck guy that our son was playing with. My wife freaked and demanded that we return the guy. So here we go again, pile into the car and head out at dusk to replace the guy. You will be glad to know that all right has been restored and your guy is still traveling. My mistake, again this was our first hunt and we made a rookie mistake but have corrected it.
