About This Item

Back in 2006, Groundspeak and Jeep released 6000 Green Jeep Travel Bugs as part of a contest. They were named after mountain peaks in the US. 6000 bugs, and not one of them named after a mountain east of the Mississippi! So we released a look-alike Jeep, and named it after the tallest peak in New England: "Mount Washington (NH) Green Jeep Travel Bug".

The Jeep lasted for just over two years, and accumulated 12682.5 miles, before it went missing.  Its last log was three years ago, so we are releasing a replacement on the COPY tag: this time it is a green Land Rover, and its mission is to see if it can last longer and travel farther than the original green Jeep.

snagged this jeep from a cache not listed. while on a visit to niagara falls, had to go to gcwvzp to see what it looked like, and was pleasantly surprised to find a tb in the cache that was not inventoried,

Sorry we weren't able to log this until the 20th...we didn't have access until a computer until now. We took this TB from MA to VT on 8/15. We left the TB in Great Wolf River Lodge on 8/17. Sorry for the delay. Too bad we don't get a contest entry, though.

Was researching for the New England Green Jeeps and noticed Mount Washington which I am looking forward to finding.
