About This Item

TOTAL FP FOR ABC TRAIL AS AT 16 MAY 2016 - 141

KZN's first GeoArt Trail – TECHNONUT & V-IXEN

This is a series of caches placed along quiet district roads in the Ashburton and Bisley Areas Plan on 4 - 7 hours (depending on experience) to complete the 51 caches along the trail. The series consists of 51 caches - there are 48 really easy puzzle caches, a traditional cache and a multi cache. The last two were pre-existing V-ixen caches which have been blended into the route. Then there is the bonus cache (ABC #51).

Clues for the final location of this cache can be found in random caches along the trail.

You will need several geocaching tools to complete the trail and retrieve the caches - these include tweezers, a Leatherman, paperclips, 2 litres of water, 10cm nails, an elevation device (if you are short), plus a few more such as a magnet, mirror, prestik, braai tongs to extend your reach and star and flat screwdrivers. A notebook and pencil will be essential!

Some of the logs:

An awesome series - words fail me - you need to do it to experience it!

What an awesome series! Thank you Techno Nut and V-ixen for all the hard work and thought that has gone into this ABC series! We have thoroughly enjoyed every cache along the way.

A BIG thank you for all the hard work to make this a meaningful and worthy trail series. What an exciting and memorable adventure this was. This is definitely not a quick power trail and there isn't 1 cache on the whole trail that I would be excited to go grab on normal caching days

. Well done to the 2 CO's for an incredible amount of effort in the placing, planning, manufacture and co-ordination. Also a special word of thanks to the Reviewer for his careful reviewing of the 49 published ones. The whole Trail is worthy of a FP, and so it goes to this Final. On our own personal note it was the most physical caches we have ever found in 1 day. 51 and the most FTFs ever.
