St. Fanurius of Geo: Patron Saint Of Great Caches Past

This virtual Travel Bug moves like a benevolent minister, priest, rabbi, (shaman, spiritual advisor, fill in your own) etc. to stand with you as you bestow respect and rememberance towards the memory of great, lost caches that are now archived. St. Fanurius of Geo seeks only those caches which were truly great, deserved to be honored and are now sorely missed.

Do you mourn for the loss a particular archived cache which was quite special in it's location and/or design? Do you wish others could now experience the joy that you remembered when you were there? Our Saint offers comfort and gentleness for your geocacher heart.

All you need to do is invite our Saint along with you to the page of any archived geocache that is truly worthy of such a rememberance. Just Post A Note on the archived cache's page to drop off this bug and mention the Saint's role in visiting.

Then make sure you post a nicely detailed paragraph here describing your thoughts and your memories of the cache. Let us know why it was so special and why it is so missed nowadays. Just posting this TB in some cache with no note makes the Saint very sad, because he REALLY needs your written memories of the past cache in order to give a proper rememberance. Thanks for your detailed description of what made the cache worth a Saintly visit.

You never know... after the Saint is invited to be with you for a ceremony of respect and rememberance to a particular bygone cache, we may just witness this TB's rumored saintly powers of ressurrection! There is no longer a time limit for how long a worthy cache has been archived to make it eligible for a Saintly rememberance. Also, more than one person may join in memorials of the same cache (by 'grabbing' the bug and putting it back there with their own written eulogy-log on the cache page) IF the past cache is truly so worth such a salute. :)
