Current Goal

***FEATURED*** on the Podcacher.com podcast (show 225, 4th anniversary of the podcast)
To travel from cache to cache and go as far as possible. The key for the bike lock is actually in the cache. The bike should be locked to something nearby (a tree if in the woods). Please keep the key in a cache near the bike (do not separate).

About This Item

bikeTB.jpg

This TB is a full size mountain bike. Therefore, there are some logistical issues in moving it from cache to cache. See if you can figure out a solution to keep it moving. Tell us your transport story.

The 3 options that come to my mind are:
  1. Walk to the cache; ride the bike to the next cache; walk home (For those who like lots of exercise).
  2. Have your partner drive to the next cache while you ride the bike.
  3. If you have a vehicle that can handle it, transport the bike in your vehicle (back of truck, trunk/hatchback of a car, etc.). This option creates the potential for the TB traveling large distances.

Any bike maintenance that you can do is much appreciated (fill tires, repair, etc).

RIDE THE BIKE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I CAN NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY.

Thought I saw this TB on the back of someone's car driving down the highway. See the attached photo.

It has the same car seat, pink basket in the front. It could be it.
Maybe not.

The bike will be dropped off about 10 am today. Sorry I held it so long. Someone wanted to pick it up but schedules and the weather kept getting in the way.

kb_trials, you are NUTS! Those pictures are great! It is amazing what you can do on a bike, and to do those tricks on THIS bicycle is truly amazing.

Thanks to the whole family, pharmagirl, pirate_emma, and pirate_zach, for sharing your experiences, pictures, and bike upgrades. The basket is great. The decorations add a lot to what The4Syms started.

It was great meeting all of you at the winter SNEG event, and it was good to see this TB again. I look forward to seeing you again at the next event, if not sooner.

The adventure continues...

I almost snatched this very cool set of wheels at the SNEG event, but I was a bit slow. So I had to patiently watch and wait for a second chance to go riding on this most beautiful bike. With help from a friend I learned of the tb's destination and set out on this cold January day to retrieve this most precious treasure. Fighting the blinding sun, the blowing winds and the treacherous ice formations my wife and I were able to bring home this glorious ride. Where will it go next? A roadside micro, on top of Tully Mountain (NO WAY), stay tuned to find out where it wanders to next. Thanks for the fun and hello to the other 38 people watching this bug.
