I want to do my part in keeping trackables in my area moving along. So I returned to Wildcat Canyon (this is actually a new location for this cache since I saw it last) and swapped the $1 Luxor Casino Chip Travel Bug for this wonderful traveling memorial to motogrrl. Will move her along!!
Often during lunch, I'll take my Aprilia scooter out to look for some local caches. In fact it's kind of fun to zip around to many of them, enjoying the scenery or stopping just to take it all in. I wonder how many other two-wheeled cachers there are out there.
So I will upload a photo with my bike to add to the stack. Any bike rider would appreciate that. :)
The nearest highways around here are Interstate 80, State highway 4. The Wildcat Canyon cache has a road that used to be the access road to a Nike Missile base back in these gorgeous hills. Now when you walk the once-paved road, you'll see nature reclaiming the once-flat paved road that passed through.
I should note that when we approached this cache, I saw a guy on a BMW motorcycle up on this road, which as far as I know is verboten. But you can certainly take your mountain bike into this area, just be considerate of others.
