Bongo Bimbi the African

Hi Folks,
my name is Bongo Bimbi, i´m a native African, i was born in a little valley near the white Nile river. One day my friend Mungo Park the explorer found me there, wounded by the arrow of a hunter. He took me with him in his nearby camp and cared for me till i got sane. After that i decided to follow Mungo everywhere he would go, because he was my savior. So i accompanied him to his house in Europe, Günzburg, Germany.
But now after years i became homesick and would like to travel back to Africa (just for a visit) and then back to my friend Mungo. My biggest wish would be a photo of me near the Kilimanjaro Mountain. Maybe there will be a chance for my friend Mungo to view this Photo, posted on Geocaching.com.

Bongo has been sprung from the cache! And better yet, I'll be in Munich in two weeks, so I'll get him back to Germany. Also took a picture (from the cache site) with Kili in the background, which I'll upload when I get back to the states.

Verwandte haben mit Hilfe ihrer Reisebegleiter auch auf ihrer zweiten Station am Kilimanjaro einen Cache finden können. Hier konnte Bongo Bimbi endlich Unterschlupf finden, er genießt jetzt seine Zeit in Afrika und wartet darauf, von den nächsten Findern mitgenommen zu werden.
Es hat uns sehr gefreut, Bongo Bimbi weiterhelfen zu können und wir wünschen ihm alles Gute für seinen Aufenthalt in Afrika und seine weitere Reise!

With the help of others from their group relatives were able to find a cache also on their second stop at Kilimanjaro. Bongo Bimbi finally found a new home here. He enjoys being in Africa and is waiting to be picked up from the next cachers there.
It was a pleasure to help Bongo Bimbi further and we wish him a pleasant stay in Africa and all the best for his future journey!

Wie versprochen haben Verwandte den TB Bongo Bimbi mit auf ihre Reise nach Tanzania genommen. Dank der Hinweisbilder in der Cachebeschreibung haben sie den Cache "Mandara Hut" auch ohne GPS finden können. Bongo Bimbi passte nicht hinein und hat sich deshalb mit ihnen auf die Weiterreise gemacht.

As promised before, relatives took TB Bongo Bimbi with them on their journey to Tanzania. Thanks to the pictures in the cache description they were able to locate the "Mandara Hut" cache without a GPS unit. Bongo Bimbi did not fit into the cache, so he joined the group on their further journey.
