Mandara Hut is the first overnight stop if you chose to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania via the Marango route. It is situated 2720 meters above sea level and approximately 5 hours from the start-of-walk at Marango gate. We passed here on October 12 2003 and placed this microcache in a safe but easy-to-find spot. See the spoiler picture to find the exact hidingplace!
The cache, a film canister, is put at a convienient hight over the ground.
Note on cache maintenance: Friluftsfrämjandet is planning tours to Kilimanjaro at least twice a year and someone will look for the caches and either post a log or a note on the relevant cache page and indicate the condition of the cache.
