Can you help poor Bossy?

On her first trip, Bossy spent five years touring the country before making it safely back to Wisconsin from Maryland. Now she's run off again, and has found herself in that other dairy state, California. She misses her family in Wisconsin and would like to get back home. Can you help her?

If you find Ol' Bossy, please place her in another cache, preferably Wisconsin-ward of where you found her. Hopefully she can make it back home safely again!

I picked Ol'Bossy up a few day ago, and then overtime kicked in at work, so I have not been out caching much. Bossy is ok, she is in good hands. It will be a day or so befor I am can get out again, but I wll send her on her way soon.

Took me a couple of weeks to get back out to Atoka for another lunchtime cache dash, but today was the day. The monsoon appears to be over and 52°F was the right temperature for me to go caching.

As I left the pavement and stepped onto the mushy ground, a red-tailed hawk swooped low over the meadow and into the woods -- headed straight toward the cache.
I took that as a good omen.

I found the cache quickly. The coordinates were as perfect as can be expected. The weight of the container was surprising. These things are usually 90% air, but this one is packed full.

I saw an atrocious item with a big orange T on it & figured that was the 'special' item in the cache. Then I saw a green item with XL on it. Hmmmmm... I've been needing one of these.

As I was signing the log, the hawk was nearby & making lots of noise. I couldn't see it up in the trees, but it was definitely close. When I stepped out of the woods, the hawk was circling overhead & calling out again.

  • Too Wet to Cache This Day Yeah. It was way too wet for a lunch hour cache run this particular day. I snapped this pic while I was waiting for the rain to let up so I could run into the Lenny's for an Italian sub & an oatmeal-raisen cookie.

I saw that Ol' Bossy here had been placed in a cache nearby, so I told Cheesehead Dave that I'd grab her and try to help her on her way. Well, now she's here by the computer... Guess I'll have to stop the KoC playing long enough to get out and cache some. 😈
