The SeaAggies instructions regarding the passage of the Spirit of Florida are simple....."In order for this stick to move from one cacher to onother please place it in a cache and let all cachers have a fair chance at finding it. This stick must only be placed in worthy Florida caches. Do not place the stick in a location where the sticks spirit will be compromised. When placing the stick "in" a cache you may either place in next to the container itself or give direction how to find the stick inside the cache (new coordinates or similar)...."
Soon after it's inception, the "Spirit" of the stick was compromised. Although the SeaAggies have stated that no individual "owns" the Spirit of Florida, it seems that certain individuals have ignored the Spirit of the stick by not complying with its maker's instructions. It is the responsibility of each individual that grabs the stick to abide by the simple instructions posted on the TB page.
I'm not casting blame on anyone who has had the privilege to possess the Spirit of Florida.....I'm merely reminding everyone who comes in contact with the stick to keep the Spirit of Florida moving so that every geocacher in Florida has a chance to view, log and/or hold the stick for a time.
