About This Item

This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Motorcycle Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.

One of my favorite caches, and one of my favorite walks in the woods, is "The Men That Don't Fit In," in South Pomfret VT. A couple weeks ago I decided I ought to pay it a Spring visit, and drop something that could travel toward either Maine or Georgia from there.I checked around, and saw that I could pick up a travel bug at "Yippee Skipppy," so off I went. Nothing there. Today for some reason I had a feeling there's be something waiting at "Go, Teago," even though the web site said no. Jumped on my bike after work to check it out, and sure enough I found this TB. Rode/walked up to The Men That Don't Fit IN, and left it there. That'll be a good place to travel from, and a good pace for the bug to hang out in the meantime. I"m the oother kind of biker- mountain biker- but don't want to become a statistic either!

I ride a BMW R1100R. It's winter in VT so the bikes up until April. I was in AZ last week and rented a HD and rode to Tombstone. I will keep the coin moving.
