Tato cache vas zavede k Lazenskemu divadlu, které je uz vice nez sto let jednim z piliru spolecenskeho a kulturniho zivota v Luhacovicich.

Zakladatele Akciove spolecnosti lazni luhacovskych, zahy po jejim zalozeni zjistili, ze nedilnou soucasti lecby je také kulturni a spolecenske vyzití pacientu a navstevniku.

Lazenske divadlo za svuj vznik vdeci predevsim nezdolnemu usili MUDr. Zikmunda Jankeho, ktery se nemohl smirit s tím, ze kulturni akce se poradaly v nevalnych prostorach lazenske citarny s padesati misty. Prvnim uspechem doktora Jankeho bylo vypsani architektonicke souteze na stavbu divadla. Vítezem souteze se stal vidensky Cech František Skopalik s navrhem budovy v duchu neoklasicismu. Diky financnim problemum vsak projekt pri stavbe doznal vyraznych zmen.

Stavba zapocala v roce 1907 a pres neustale financni potize ji uherskohradistsky stavitel Josef Schaniak dokoncil o rok pozdeji a slavnostni otevreni probehlo v cervnu 1908. Kapacita divadla byla 250 mist a interier se pysnil vsim, co maji velka divadla.

Jiz od prvni sezony se v divadle stridaji v te dobe oblibene divadelni spolecnosti s dily svetovych autoru. Velkou udalosti je v roce 1909 uvedeni Smetanovy opery Prodana nevesta. Mnozi navstevnici poprve v zivote vidi opravdove divadlo. V roce 1910 zaklada Ceska filharmonie s dirigentem Janem Elsnicem tradici nedelnich symfonickych koncertu. Ve stejnem roce je angazovano Narodni divadlo v Brne a brnenska opereta. V teto dobe je jiz pravidelnym navstevnikem také Leos Janacek, pro ktereho byly Luhacovice velkou inspiraci.

Pres velke kulturni uspechy se divadelni druzstvo nemuze dostat z financnich problemu, ktere vedou v roce 1917 k prevzetí divadla pod spravu Akciove spolecnosti lazni luhacovskych. Tento krok zajistil dalsi provoz divadla a oziveni kulturniho deni po prvni svetove valce. Luhacovice se stavaji oblibenym mistem mnoha hercu a hudebniku, jako Bohuslav Martinu, Josef Suk, Rudolf Firkusny, R.A.Dvorsky, Hugo Haas, Natasa Gollova, nebo Vlasta Burian a Oldrich Novy .

Vyznamnou soucasti historie Lazenskeho divadla bylo poradani porad Ceskoslovenske jednoty v letech 1908 – 1938, na ktere se sjizdeli delegati z Cech, Moravy i Slovenska, aby manifestovali a prohlubovali vzajemne porozumeni Cechu a Slovaku.

Také v dnesni dobe Lazenske divadlo vita mnohe zname divadelni soubory a umelce. Koncem leta je jiz tradicne poradan festival Divadelni Luhacovice, který je mistem setkani prednich ceskych i slovenskych divadel.

The cache is situated near Spa Theatre which is one of the most important part of social and cultural life in Luhacovice.

Soon after the foundation, the fonders of spa company discovered that social and cultural life was important element of patient´s stay in spa. The initiator and excited organizer of the theatre construction was the famous spa doctor Dr. Zikmund Janke. The construction begun in 1907. In spite of great difficulties and debt, the theatre was opened in 1908.

Prestige and favorite theatre companies started to perform in the theatre immediately after its opening. Presentation of Sold bride by Bedrich Smetana was the greatest event of the season in 1909. One year later, the Czech philharmonic set up the tradition of Sunday philharmonic concerts. It´s also the National theatre of Brno and Operetta theatre of Brno who performed in the Spa Theatre. By now, Leos Janacek, the great Czech music composer, is a regular host in Luhacovice.

Although the cultural successes, the theatre was still in debt. Fortunately the Spa Theatre was saved. After First World War the performances were reset. Luhacovice became a favorite place of Czechoslovak actors and artists as Hugo Haas, Bohuslav Martinu, Josef Suk, Rudolf Firkusny, R.A.Dvorsky, Natasa Gollova, Vlasta Burian and Oldrich Novy.

Today, the Spa Theatre is still the place of many theatre performances. At the end of summer, the thatre festival Divadelni Luhacovice takes place every year.
