Geocache Description:

This journey takes you near Salisbury, an area well-known for its bucolic landscapes.

Salisbury was once the United States' center of the early iron industry. From pre-Revolutionary War times through the Civil War up until the 1920's, Salisbury iron was considered some of the best in the world. During the Civil War, the Salisbury area supplied the majority of cannons, musket balls and railroad car wheels to the Union Army.

Trails are well marked; walk the entire loop; bushwhacking is not recommended. As always, enjoy the adventure!
