Geocache Description:

Nice picnic spot for travellers.

This location grew because of the Whakamaru Hydro Electric Power Station. Reliably informed that the workers building the dam lived in nearby Mangakino... The residential area nearby was for people manning the Power Station. The resultant lake is very picturesque and is worth a stop to enjoy a picnic on the grassy shore.

Bring your boat for a ride on the lake. Or just a picnic before or after the hunt.

The cache is a small container in a TechnoKitten Camo Bag... May contain usual goodies for swap.

Usual caution with the little ones as there is water nearby.
