Black Ammo Can From what we can find, Sea Isle Junction was established by the West Jersey and Seashore Railroad to provide rail service to the Jersey Cape and surrounding communities in the late 1800’s. Sea Isle Junction connected Sea Isle City and lower Cape rail lines with points West, link to 2013 photos of abandoned junction: http://bkranefeld.rrpicturearchives.net/archiveThumbs.aspx?id=97309 If you look carefully you can find remnants of footings used to support the rails as well as concrete foundations for other structures. The most remarkable artifact is a long wall about 18 inches high that seems to outline the former rail platform of the Junction. Coordinates fluctuated a bit as the signal bounces around. Parking available at the end of Woodbine Blvd., So. Seaville, NJ N 39 11.191 W 74 45.590 *** Update 10/1/21 Sadly, today we were notified that somebody removed the original (2006) container. We have since replaced it with a new one in the hopes that other people may enjoy this cache for years to come! ***
