Geocache Description:


Leatherhead is an old slang term used for the leather helmet used by these true heros. The leather helmet is also the internationally recognized symbol for these individuals. Bravery, integrity, honor, loyalty and pride describe the Leatherhead. Do you know who he/she is?

This is a kid friendly puzzle cache. Please help your kids get started by entering the starting coordinates and then turn them loose to search for the final treasure cache and it’s contents.

You will be required to go to two different locations to gather information to determine the final cache’s Latitude and Longitude.

First proceed to N44-56.291 / W092-58.727

Here you will gather information to determine the LATITUDE COORDINATES of the final.

Final Latitude is: N44-55.ABC

A = The number of flag poles at this location
B = The number of windows above each overhead garage door
C = The number of overhead garage doors on the front of the building

Second proceed to: N44-55.831 / W092-54.242

Here you will gather information to determine the LONGITUDE COORDINATES of the final.

Final Longitude is: W092-56.DEF

D = 0
E = The total number of overhead garage doors, plus 5
F = Total number of overhead street lights at this location

With your answers plugged into your GPSr proceed to the final cache location. Cache is available DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY. There is an information sheet and an invitation enclosed in the cache as well as some mementos of your find and a log book with pencils. One per kid please. GEOCACHERS HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE PROPER AUTHORITIES TO HUNT THIS CACHE.
