Geocache Description:

Mochrum Hill an other volcanic plug (like Ailsa Craig), lies just off the B7023 Maybole to Maidens road. Parking can be found at N55 21.605 W004 44.701. Head through the large closed off parking bit and follow the track through the wood till you reach the bend in the track at N55 21.424 W004 44.427, here leave the track and zig-zag your way up the hillside on the righthand side of the obvious gully onto the top of the hill at 270m.

Cracking views to the west give you Carrick Hills, Arran, Culzean Castle and Ailsa Craig and to the south the Galloway Hills.
This is an open hillside and the weather can be glorious and also very nasty, so be prepared! Good boots should also be worn as there is no obvious path once you leave the track.
