Pleasant spot along the Salmon Falls River, easy walk on a dirt road along power lines. Cache is right off the trail. Bring a picnic!
You can park at 43.21.748N, 070.58.191W. The road is gated there to keep vehicles out. Cache is an ammo box with assorted trinkets and some of our signature minerals. The cache has been moved from the original location. It is now on the downstream side of the power lines, and is right off the trail that goes towards the water on that side. Please re-hide well after you've found it. There can be muggles about during hunting and fishing seasons. There may also be dirt bikes or snow mobiles at various times.
Stay out of the sand pits on either side of the cleared power line area. The owners don't want people going in there, but its alright to walk on the paths around the power lines.
It is also possible to get here by paddling on the river, but you'd have to get out of your boat and climb up a little. On the down-stream side of the power lines, the climb is not much. If you decide to do it that way, there is a good put-in at the bridge by the Spaulding plant, but be prepared for a couple of blowdowns.
